SPECIAL ENGLISH ELECTION COVERAGE ON TIC

The important election for Indonesia’s next president will get special attention on Indonesia’s first 24-hour English-language TV channel.

The Indonesia Channel will provide three days of focused coverage, beginning with a pre-election special on July 8.  It will include profiles of each of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates, plus final countdown analysis by political experts.

Then, on Election Day July 9, same-day coverage will include reactions from the winner and loser, plus comments from the voting public.  A complete post-election wrap-up will follow on July 10.

The special coverage each day begins at 10 p.m. Jakarta time.

The Indonesia Channel debuted on June 2, 2014, with a colorful mix of entertainment and information programs.  It can be seen on

Hong Kong’s NOW TV (channel 521) and Indonesia’s First Media (channel 32), Big TV (channel 683) and Usee TV (channel 187).  The channel is streamed live on its website (www.theindonesiachannel.com), useetv.com, and can also be viewed by downloading its free mobile application from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
