TANONAKA WINS SUPREME COURT REVIEW IN INVESTMENT CASE

The Supreme Court of Indonesia on October 27, 2020, ruled in favor of Dalton Ichiro Tanonaka in his role as Director of P.T. Melia Media International, doing business as The Indonesia Channel. The Peninjauan Kembali (PK) judicial review reaffirmed a Jakarta High Court decision on May 23, 2018, that said no criminal actions were committed in a business agreement with investor Prem Harjani Ramchand.

“Finally I’m able to focus on my company’s work, which is to help this country tell its story to the world through The Indonesia Channel,” said the former Metro TV and CNN International news anchor. “I ask everyone now to join us in our mission, especially when we enter the post-coronavirus recovery period.”
Tanonaka was represented by attorney Marthen Pongrekun.
